Sprecher + Schuh's KT9 series of Motor Circuit Controllers are some of the most versatile and technologically advanced control products available today. These devices can be used in a variety of control schemes that reduce panel space, simplify installation and eliminate the need for more expensive equipment.

Current-limiting short circuit protection

Class 10 thermal overload protection

Switching

Signaling

The KTC9 has a fixed magnetic trip set at 18…22x the maximum value of the current adjustment range (as opposed to the KTA9s magnetic trip of approximately 14x adjustment range.) KTC9 are typically used in applications where nuisance tripping might occur, as with some high efficiency motors. The KTB9 is designed without a thermal trip element (i.e., current adjustment range). It should be selected for applications where a separate motor overload protection device is used, such as on CLE7 Three Component Starters. Magnetic trip is approximately 14x operational current for the KTB9 (approximately 13x for the KTB7-45H).

IEC/EN 60947–2, IEC/EN 60947-4-1

UL 60947-4-1

CSA C22.2, No. 60947-4-1

CB Scheme

CCC

CE Marked

cULus Listed

EAC

Morocco

UKCA

Series KT9 Control and Protection to 45A

Sprecher+Schuh’s KTU9 series of UL Molded Case Circuit Breakers are UL489 and CE listed for global applications. The current limiting circuit breaker provides fixed short circuit and overcurrent protection and offers high interrupting ratings for 2- and 3-pole devices from 0.5 to 40A. These Circuit breakers are 100% rated up to 10A.Accessories are intelligently designed to be field installed. The compact busbars and supply blocks reduce wiring errors and installation labor cost. Connection modules for the CA7 Contactors simplify wiring and can reduce the number of DIN rails required, compacting panel space even further.

45 x 96 x 89 mm

0.5A up to 40A

15…20A Magnetic Trip

65kA @ 480Y/277V

2-Pole or 3-Pole

Accessories interchangeable with other Series KT9 devices

CSA C22.2, UL 489, IEC / EN 60947-1, -2

Series KTU9 Molded Case Circuit Breakers to 40A

Sprecher + Schuh’s Ecombo starters are the compact alternative to larger and higher priced combination starters. Both models consist of a KT9 Motor Circuit Controller (cULus listed as a Type E, self-protected combination starter), assembled with a CA7 or CA8 contactor, which provides remote operation (Type E/F). Whether used as a standalone starter or in multi-motor starter applications, Ecombo starters save significant panel space and dollars over conventional combination starter alternatives. The Ecombo starter line covers motors to 40A (KT9) / 45A (KT7), while providing current limiting short circuit protection up to 65kA. Class 10 thermal overload protection is also assured with a very accurate current adjustment setting which is factory calibrated to the smallest and largest current the unit can handle. A “differential tripping” mechanism also provides accelerated tripping under single phase conditions. Ecombo starters may be selected as Type 2 Coordinated per IEC 60947-4-1, or UL Construction Type E or F.

0.10…45A Thermal Trip

2.2…585A Magnetic Trip

1/2…30HP @460V AC

AC or DC

Series Ecombo Combination Controllers

Sprecher + Schuh's complete series of KT Motor Circuit Controllers are available in compact, enclosed models up to 40 HP (@575V). The KTA9 Motor Circuit Controller and the CLE and CX7 Series of Combination Starters are preassembled in a variety of HP sizes and configurations yet have a compact housing for lower overall costs. KTU9 Molded Case Circuit Breakers are also available in a variety of standard enclosures for onsite assembly or shipped ready to install.

Non-metallic IP65 (watertight, dust tight)

Type 4/4X/12 (watertight, dust tight, corrosion resistant)

Explosion Proof (Class I, Group B,C, D and Class II, Group E, F, G)

Enclosed Motor Circuit Controllers and Molded Case Circuit Breakers

Series KT5 devices are UL listed as Manual Motor Controllers (with optional approvals for Suitable as Motor Disconnect and Suitable for use in Group Installation).Group motor installations eliminate the need for individual branch short circuit protective devices for each motor circuit, reducing panel space, installation & wiring time, and costs. There is only one Branch Circuit Protective Device (BCPD) for the “Group”.These devices meet requirement of Motor Protective Switching Devices (MPSD) as per IEC 60947-4-1 and Circuit Beaker as per IEC 60947-2 standard for application outside of North America.

Overload protection – trip class 10A

Phase loss sensitivity

Disconnect function

Suitable for three- and single-phase applications

UL group motor and IEC Type 1and Type 2

International certifications

Interrupting rating @400V up to 100 kA

The Wöhner Panel System is a group of current carrying component modules which simplifies panel design, layout and assembly. Sprecher + Schuh is proud to partner with Wöhner USA to offer 3-Phase 60mm Bus Bar Systems in conjunction with Sprecher + Schuh starters, controllers and other components for a complete panel assembly that offers flexibility, modularity and reduced assembly costs. The Wöhner 3-Phase 60mm bus bar system offers power distribution throughout your panel with a minimum of installation labor. Panel systems can span horizontally, or vertically, depending on the application needs and enclosure size. Sprecher + Schuh starters, motor controllers and other components (mounted to removable modules) snap directly to the current carrying bus bar system, eliminating the need for direct power wiring.

Copper Bus Bars and supports up to 4000 Amps

Source Connections & terminals

Touch-safe, insulating covers

Mounting Modules, adjustable for 5mm to 10mm thick bus bars

Molded Case Circuit Breaker Power Connectors for most brands

Bus bar mounted Fuse HoldersWo

60mm Bus Bars

Wohner's AMBUS® EasySwitch Fuse Blocks feature the latest enclosed design for the ultimate in safety and convenience. Built for control and power circuits, the AMBUS line is DIN-rail mountable, compact and reliable. Both AC and DC models are available, with and without blown fuse indication.Unlike open fuse blocks, the enclosed design of the AMBUS series features IP2 dead-front construction under IEC and DIN standards. In operation, there is no access to live fuses or fuse clips. With the flick of a finger, fuse access is gained via a levered compartment on the front of the holder that isolates the fuse from the line power. This makes fuse change out quick, easy, convenient and safe! The AMBUS line is compact, saving up to 15% in panel space over conventional fuse blocks. The entire line is also DIN-rail mountable, resulting in extra savings in panel building time. All models are available with blown fuse indication, saving time on maintenance and troubleshooting. UL508 bus bars can be used to quickly distribute power to multiple fuse holders simultaneously.

110…600V AC/DC 12…72V AC/DC

Withstand rating to 200kA

Midget fuse blocks rated to 50kA

Blown fuse LED indicator available

cULus Listed

CE Marked

CSA approved
