Use of filter mats is recommended in case of high dust exposure. The cleaning of equipment is simpler as a result. The filter should be changed regularly, depending on the level of contamination.

Filter Mat for cooling units, air/air heat exchangers and chillers

The use of washable metal filters is recommended, particularly in environments with dusty or oily ambient air. If air or steam condenses on the metal surfaces, any particles that may be present will adhere to the metal and are easily washed out with water or grease-dissolving detergents.

A higher protection category is achieved when combining the standard filter and the additional fine filter mat.

If existing mounting cut-outs for fan-and-filter units/outlet filters need to be closed to achieve a higher protection category, the filter mat of the fan-and-filter unit/outlet filter can be replaced with a blanking cover. Welding or other mechanical modification of the enclosure is not necessary.
