Transfer Switches

Transfer switches are essential devices for shifting electrical loads between two power sources, ensuring seamless power continuity. Our range includes models with IP65 and IP66 protection, suitable for harsh environments. Select from various enclosure materials like metal and polyamide, and configurations with auxiliary contacts for versatile applications. Rated for voltages up to 690V, these switches guarantee reliable performance in critical operations.

Transfer Switches

A transfer switch seamlessly transfers electrical power between two sources, typically a primary power source and a backup generator. It ensures continuous power by switching to the backup source during an outage or power failure and back to the primary source once it is restored, maintaining uninterrupted power supply to critical systems.

An example of a transfer switch is an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). ATS automatically switches the power load from the primary source to a backup generator during a power outage and back when power is restored. This automation ensures that critical systems have a constant power supply without the need for manual intervention.

A transfer switch operates by monitoring the voltage from the primary power source. Upon detecting a power failure or significant voltage drop, it disconnects the load from the primary source and connects it to the backup source. Depending on the type of transfer switch, this process can be manual, non-automatic, or automatic, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

Transfer switches are essential for ensuring uninterrupted power supply in critical applications such as hospitals, data centers, and industrial operations. They prevent downtime, protect equipment, and ensure the safety and continuity of operations during power outages, making them a vital component in any power management system.
