Omron's MobilePlanner Tablet Edition is an easy to use, portable, monitoring and control user interface tool for Omron mobile robots. Omron also offers the MobilePlanner PC edition which provides full configuration and control capabilities for Omron mobile robots, Enterprise Manager with map editing and job administrations.<p><strong>MobilePlanner Tablet Edition</strong></p>
<p>The MobilePlanner Tablet Edition is a lite user interface designed for viewing and controlling the individual robot or the entire fleet from a mobile device or tablet. View location and status of robots, alerts, job queue, position, battery level, and travel speed in an easy-to-read color-coded map.</p>

<p>MobilePlanner software is a PC-based software tool to plan mobile robot applications through building maps and instant floor plans. Laser-guided mobile robots can scan up to 1,000 sq.ft. per min to create maps capturing all its natural features, and send it to a PC wirelessly. The resulting map can be customized with virtual routes and forbidden lines for safe operations. Assign tasks, goals, schedule routes, stitch maps, and program sensors, cameras &amp; tools using the built-in route builder. The software also deploys maps wirelessly through the entire fleet of mobile robots. MobilePlanner PC edition provides full configuration and control capabilities for Omron mobile robots and Enterprise Manager.</p>

The Omron LD Mobile Robot is a self-navigating Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) designed for dynamically moving material in challenging environments that may include confined passageways as well as dynamic and peopled locations. <h4>AMR vs. AGV  - The Difference is Flexibility</h4>
<p>AGVs require a predefined path to follow,  either a network of magnetic lines on the  floor or beacons on the walls. So although  AGVs allow modifications to production lines,  facilities will need to install new equipment  every time the AGV path is changed, leading  to downtime and extra costs.</p>
<p>Unlike AGVs, which will stop at obstacles  indefinitely, AMRs avoid stationary or  moving obstacles and automatically  reroute themselves when necessary. AMR paths automatically change without  human intervention, making operations  more flexible and decreasing total cost  of ownership.</p>

<p>AMRs can safely navigate without the use  of floor magnets or wall-mounted beacons.  An AMR will first create a baseline map of  a facility using built-in sensors, then will  constantly detect its surroundings. When  processes change, AMRs can easily change  as well, creating networks of new routes  or being reassigned to new tasks.</p>

<p>Acuity provides an additional method of &quot;localization&quot; to the onboard laser, to allow the robot to operate in frequently changing environments. It identifies overhead lights and overlays the &quot;light map&quot; with the &quot;floor map&quot; It also allows the robots to move easily across wide-open areas in large warehouses.</p>
