For customers with very large machines that occasionally need operator access, it can become very costly and cumbersome to protect the area around the machine from intrusion with traditional hard guarding. The PA4600 perimeter access safety light curtain provides a long-range, multi-beam presence sensing device for guarding robot centers and large machines. Protecting large areas that do not have close proximity access to wiring around the machine can be challenging. The PA4600-BB perimeter access safety light curtain provides short-range (up to 8 m) presence sensing in a cost-effective, easy to install 2-beam guarding system. Eliminating the need for wiring at the receiver, the PA4600-BB incorporates a transmitter and receiver into one light curtain and uses mirrors for entry/exit access guarding of large machines.
