Series CA7 Contactors

Sprecher + Schuh offers a complete line of combination and non-combination starters suitable for almost any HVAC/R application in the industry. Standard HVAC/R starters range from NEMA Size 00 up to NEMA size 3 (50HP @460V AC).Sprecher + Schuh Fractional Manual Starters (FMS) consist of a snap switch combined with a thermal overload device operating on the solder-ratchet principle. To reset the overload mechanism, the switch lever is moved to the OFF position. The motor can be restarted by simply pushing the switch lever to the ON position. The switch is designed to prevent being held closed under a sustained motor overload.Sprecher + Schuh NEMA labeled KWIKstarters are housed in a high impact, nonmetallic, cUL Approved, Type 1, 12, 4,4X enclosure. Built for convenience, space savings and economy, KWIKstarters are efficiently designed to use stock CAN7 contactors and CEP7 or CT7N overloads. Contactor and overload are either pre-wired and pre-mounted onto the enclosure’s built-in DIN-rail or may be ordered as separate components. Ample knockouts and open terminals guarantee quick, no fuss wiring.Standard starters include Non-combination, Fusible, Non-Fusible and Molded Case Circuit Breaker disconnects. When purchased with an enclosure, the starters are mounted and ready to install on receipt.At the heart of all magnetic starters is the Sprecher + Schuh CAT7 and CAT9 line of motor starters. These starters are compact and offer intermediate sizes to better match specific motor requirements. This equates to generous wiring space and less wasted horsepower capacity.Magnetic starters are equipped with Sprecher + Schuh's CEP7 solid state overload relay as a standard selection. RVAT, Multi-Speed & Pump

Sprecher + Schuh’s Ecombo starters are the compact alternative to larger and higher priced combination starters. Both models consist of a KT9 Motor Circuit Controller (cULus listed as a Type E, self-protected combination starter), assembled with a CA7 or CA8 contactor, which provides remote operation (Type E/F). Whether used as a standalone starter or in multi-motor starter applications, Ecombo starters save significant panel space and dollars over conventional combination starter alternatives.The Ecombo starter line covers motors to 40A (KT9) / 45A (KT7), while providing current limiting short circuit protection up to 65kA. Class 10 thermal overload protection is also assured with a very accurate current adjustment setting which is factory calibrated to the smallest and largest current the unit can handle. A “differential tripping” mechanism also provides accelerated tripping under single phase conditions. Sprecher + Schuh's complete series of KT Motor Circuit Controllers are available in compact, enclosed models up to 40 HP (@575V). The KTA9 Motor Circuit Controller and the CLE and CX7 Series of Combination Starters are preassembled in a variety of HP sizes and configurations yet have a compact housing for lower overall costs.
