VM5-1 is a mechanical interlock unit used for the mechanical interlocking of two contactors of the A contactor serie, in the case, e.g. of reversing contactors, changeover contactors or star-delta starters. Electrical interlocking is generally provided through additionnal N.C. auxiliary contacts fitted on contactors and wired with the respective contactor's coil terminals.
